James "Emory" Vandiver, 61 passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He is the son of Alexandra Sammons Coleman and the late James E. Vandiver.
Emory was the owner of Catawba River Antique Mall and co-owner of Majestic Mill Weddings. He was a loving husband, father and son. Family meant everything to Emory. He was a faithful God-loving man. He was a truth teller, thoughtful and caring person. Emory was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at Christ Church, Greenville, SC. He was an avid softball player, golfer, reader and NASCAR fan. Emory loved to travel and shop.He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife, CJ Vandiver; sons, Blake Vandiver, Kelly Burleson and wife, Ashley; daughters, Marlo Vandiver and fiance', Sam Bumbarger, Christy Burleson; brothers, Rhett Vandiver, Will Coleman, Sam Coleman, Stephen B. Coleman; sisters, Nicole Vandiver Bryan, Shannon Vandiver; grandchildren; Skye, Maddie, Alex, Chase and Cora; extended family members and softball family.
In addition to his father, Emory was preceded by his granddaughter, Abby.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 11, 2021 Majestic Mill Weddings Regal Hall , 406 Catawba St., Belmont. Entrance door located at 4th and Brooke St., Belmont NC. Reception will follow,
