Mr. James Benjamin "Ben" Timmerman, 89, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his residence on Plantation Circle.
The celebration and blessing of the life of James Benjamin Timmerman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022 at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:50 on Monday at Rees Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Schroeder, Bobby Strozier, Zach Timmerman, Jacob Terry, Michael Delaigle and Jimmy Barber.
Mr. Timmerman was born January 10, 1933 in Waynesboro, Ga and was the son of the late James Benjamin Timmerman, Sr. and the late Juelle Novell Timmerman. He had retired as plant manager with South Carolina Electric & Gas and was a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church. Mr. Timmerman traveled the world and enjoyed all it had to offer. He was a kind, generous man who loved his family and God.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Timmerman and wife, Susan and Barry Timmerman and wife, Karen; one daughter, Deborah Timmerman; one special friend of 15 years, Ann Flanigan; four grandchildren, Rachel Timmerman, Michelle Barber, Zackary Timmerman and Kelsey Terry; five great grandchildren; one sister Carolyn Delaigle. Mr. Timmerman was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Vivian Goldman Timmerman and a sister, Marjorie Lane.
