James Thomas Tedder, 77, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Grenada. Born March 5, 1944, in Vardaman, he was the son of the late Thomas Lee Tedder and the late Ruby Nichols Tedder. James was a 1963 graduate of Vardaman High School, and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada. In 1964, he married the former Linda Arrington, and they have spent 57 wonderful years together. He was retired after serving many years as a Machinist with McQuay/Heatcraft in Grenada. James enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his passion was his horses. He was happiest on his horse, riding trails and working with them, enjoying the adventure and the relaxation that comes with it.
In later years, his passion became his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bragging about them and spoiling them was the joy of his life. He cherished the time spent with them and the rest of his family, and his memory will live on forever in their hearts.
Pryor Funeral Home is honored to serve the Tedder family.
A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 3:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Monday from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Howard Beam will be officiating, with interment to follow at Midway Cemetery in Vardaman.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Cummings, Dale Mitchell, Richmond Hubbard, Aaron Tedder, David Pullin, and Jamie Keith Arrington.
