James G. Tannehill, 71, Confluence, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh. He was born June 18, 1949 in Confluence, a son of Robert Glenn and Alta E. (Reckner) Tannehill. His parents and a sister, Doris Weyand preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Fowler), daughter, Michelle D. Madarish, Uniontown; son, Robert J., Somerset; grandchildren, Brandie Herbert and husband, Emmert and Austin and Anthony Tannehill; great grandchildren, Alanna, Wesson and Arliss Herbert; sister, Peggy Kreger and husband, Scott, Jr., Ursina and brothers, David and wife, Kacie, Confluence, Richard and wife, Debra, Somerset and Paul, Confluence; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was a 1967 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School and a lifelong farmer. He worked at Confluence Hardware for 25 years and recently retired from DR Hydro at the Youghiogheny Dam. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church in Mill Run. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Thursday with Rev. Chris McLaughlin officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Arrangements by Humbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
