James "Gee" M. Stuart, 56, of Lumberton, TX., passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2021. He was born November 15, 1964, in Beaumont, Texas and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1983.
James was the owner of James Stuart Construction from 1989 - 2009 and the President of Ironman Construction LLC from 2010 until his passing.
He was completely devoted to his construction business and built a company he could be proud of with the help from some wonderful long-time friends, family, contractors and employees. James had a deep love for Crystal Beach and could be found riding the beach with the radio blasting any number of weekends. He was very proud of his latest endeavor of building beach cabins and was looking forward to spending the summer at the beach. You can't think of "Gee" and not think of his everlasting love of NASCAR, his corvettes, extremely hard work ethic and brilliant business mind.
James was ambitious, difficult, intense, impulsive, social, helpful, and a true rare breed. He was a one-of-a-kind man who touched the lives of many and would do anything to help out his friends, family, employees and fellow contractors but he always expected hard work and dedication in return. James pushed you to be your best and would accept nothing less. He truly wanted everyone to succeed.
James loved life and was enjoying his new role as a G-Paw. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Edward Stuart, Jr. and his wife, Joann; his brothers, Leroy Stuart and Jody Haggard, sister, Rene Scott and her husband, Ed; his son, Shane Stuart and his wife, Treena; grandchildren, Kail, Jaxon, and Averie; his daughter, Mattie Mills and her husband, Robert; and grandchildren, Gillian and Gemma; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lessie Joan Lee; his sister, Effie Stuart; and his brother, Ed Stuart, III.
