James "Steve" McAbee, 62, passed Saturday, October 15, 2022 at ContinueCARE Hospital in in Columbia, SC.
Born in Greer, SC, he is a son of James William McAbee Jr (dec) and Cary Harvey McAbee (dec). A native of the upstate, he owned and ran a successful e-commerce business. He was a skilled bowler when younger and retained an interest in many forms of sports his entire life. He was known for his intelligence, wit, kindness and determination. His competitive nature led him to excel in almost every hobby he attempted from computer games to card games. He was fiercely devoted to his family, including his pets.
Surviving is his sister, Sabrina McAbee and a cat, Lexi.
