James "Jim" Reum, 80, of Greenwood passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 leaving behind a
legacy of love, wisdom, and warmth that will forever be etched in the hearts of
those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jim was born on March 24, 1943 in Niles, Michigan to the late Otto and Shirley (Hilbert) Reum. Jim served in the US Navy for four years. He was retired from the Plainfield Correctional Facility where he was a physical plant director for twenty years. He also owned an antique shop in Franklin, IN. with his first wife, Darlene. Jim had a great love for flying stunt kites, collecting trains and memorabilia, gardening, carpentry, and a love of learning and teaching what he knew to future generations.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife of fourteen years, Carol; his daughters Wendy (Bill) Tuggle and Tina (Mike) Jackson; sons, Tyler Tuggle Reum, Brian (Stephanie) Dougherty and David Dougherty; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his first wife of forty-five years, Darlene Reum in 2008, and daughters Paula Kay Reum (2017) and Michelle Dougherty (2016).
Services for Jim are Thursday, February 8 at 3:00 pm with visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main Street, Greenwood Indiana.
