James L. "Jim" Redden, also known as "Dog 13" by his CB Radio friends, 74, of Columbus passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his home.
He was born in Jackson, TN November 10, 1947 the son of James and Margaret Brown Redden. He married Mary E. Ammerman December 31, 1988 in Brown County, she survives.
He worked at Brulin Chemical Company in Indianapolis, Indian Springs and Tameka Woods golf courses in Trafalgar, and A Cut Above Lawn Service in Greenwood. He enjoyed working and being outdoors, fishing, planting and taking care of his vegetable garden. He especially enjoyed participating in CB radio activities with family and friends and communicating with others all over the world. Jim also enjoyed taking Sunday drives in the country and exploring new places with family and friends. "Dog 13" helped out all he could, and always looked out for others.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Redden of Columbus; children, Christina (Jason) Roberts of Columbus, Sean (Elizabeth) Redden of Greenwood, James Bradley (Bobbie) Redden of Franklin and Brandi (Missy) Redden of Indianapolis; Sister, Kay Bolin of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Redden.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
