Age 74, a resident of Penasco passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and caring nurse Ben on Friday May 1, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ellen Campbell, and sister Elizabeth Campbell. James served his country in the US Navy and proudly served his community day or night in Penasco as a Volunteer Fire Fighter for many years. James retired from the Los Alamos National Labs as a Materials Handler. James is survived by his wife, Tina Campbell; daughters, Melissa Campbell Allex (Shannon), and Katina Gonzales (Joseph); grandchildren, Kristy Lynn, Michael De Wayne, and Isiah Joseph; siblings, Dennis Campbell (Bessie) and Faye Campbell; along with many nieces, nephews, loving relatives and cherished friends. Private service will be held, and burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family James R.
