James "Jim" Dorian Moyer

Wilson....James Dorian Moyer, beloved father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on March 30, 2025 at his home. Jim was raised in Tamaqua, PA, and proudly served in the Air Force, where he met his wife Kitty Moyer in San Antonio, Texas.Jims work ethic and devotion to his family being his most defining qualities. After his time in the military, Jim and Kitty moved to Wilson, NC, where he founded Water Guard Inc. in 1978. Over the course of 45 years, Jim built the business into a well-respected company. Known for his integrity and dedication to service, His hard work and entrepreneurial spirit were an inspiration to many.Outside of business Jim had a deep passion for woodworking that allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship. Jim also had a keen interest in politics, often engaging in discussions and sharing his insights with friends and family. Jim was an avid supporter of Duke Basketball. His generosity knew no bounds as he was always there for his loved ones and ensured that those around him were never without. His heart was as big as his legacy and his kindness touched many.Jim leaves behind his daughter, Kristi Moyer Davis; son, Garland James Moyer, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Kensly Ann Davis and his grandson Corbin Moyer Davis. Jim has been reunited with his beloved wife, Kitty Moyer who preceded him in death. Jim`s passing leaves a void that will be felt by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
