Jimmie Misenheimer of Bloomington has left the stage for his next gig in the afterlife. Jimmie will be joined by his loving wife of 28 years, Sally (Easton) Misenheimer who preceded him in death.
He will also be accompanied by his parents Thomas A. Misenheimer and Maxine (Durham) Misenheimer who are awaiting his arrival to get the party started.
Jimmie was a lifelong resident of Bloomington graduating from Bloomington High School in 1967.
He enlisted in the Navy and served 1967-1971and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. After military service he worked at Smith Holden Music for 28 years maintaining and repairing all forms of musical instruments. After his retirement there he joined the City of Bloomington Utilities Department finally retiring in 2013.
Jimmie was a loyal member of several service organizations to include The American Legion Post 18, The Moose Lodge #1081 and Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie # 1085. He was a 30 year member of the Stanford Masonic Lodge # 173, The Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine Temple, The Greene County Shrine Club and was a past Board of Directors' member of Stonebelt Shrine Club.
Throughout his lifetime he avidly pursued his passion for music and entertaining, he was an extremely talented musician who excelled as a steel guitarist playing in several bands locally and for over 30 years with the Lloyd Wood Band and the Little Nashville Opry.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W Gourley Pike. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00 PM.
