James Edwin Little, age 99, was born on August 16, 1924 in Jefferson, Georgia. The second of nine children, he married his wife in 1955, purchased a farm, spending most of his adult life in Morgan county. He had three children, six granddaughters, and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Ruby Nell Hanson Little and his eldest daughter, Edmonda Little Snow.
He was a hardworking man of many talents. During his life, Edwin ran a dairy farm, managed a full-time job at Oxford as a mechanic, raised cows, and planted a large garden every year. He grew the most delicious watermelons and tomatoes. Musically talented, James loved to play the guitar and sing in the church choir along with hunting, fishing, and hosting family fish fries. At the young age of 91, James was still bailing hay and feeding cows, even on very cold mornings.
