James L. LaRose of Abington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3rd at South Shore Hospital after suffering from several cardiovascular episodes, age 79, Son of the late Doris Harrison and Robert LaRose of Boston; Loving father to Christine Lucreziano and her husband Mark, Deborah White and her husband John, and Jennifer LaRose; Loving grandfather to Victoria White, and step grandfather to Octavia White and Nicole DiRienzo; He was also the ex-husband and lifelong friend of Dianne LaRose.
James was born and raised in Boston. He enjoyed sharing good times with family and friends, indulging in sporting events, trips to the Drive- In, Canobie Lake Park, and driving around to see various Christmas light displays. He was extremely knowledgeable on all world history and an enthusiastic classic car lover. He had a voice that could silence a crowd and would often sing and entertain at family gathering. Jim loved music and had a passion for musical history and culture. Jim was witty and opinionated and even able to find humor in a time of sadness. He loved telling a good story and reminiscing about his childhood in Boston. Although an only child, he never felt lonely as he has many cousins who he considered as siblings. Jim was selfless in the notion of helping family and friends. He was always available to lend a hand and happiest when surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Jim was not one to surround himself in the extravagance of modern trends and advancements, but satisfied in the simplicities life has to offer.
