In the pre- dawn hours of April 27, James Michael "Poppa" Jones was set free from his diminished health condition and the pain and suffering that came with it. Aside from the love of hunting and fishing, there was only one other thing that captivated him. It was the love for his granddaughter Paisley Anne-Marie Jones, who he called "Boog". The son that shined on his life came by way of the unconditional love they shared. He is survived by his son, Joshua Jones and her mother Shadacha Bagshaw. Neither of which could find the words to describe the love and encouragement that he brought to their lives. Also survived by his parents, Jesse and Jonelle Jones and a couple of sisters, and a handful of friends, all for which he was extremely grateful. The love, encouraging words, and time they spent visiting during his struggles gave him strength and hope unmeasured. Poppa, you will always remain alive in the hearts and souls of us all. You will never be forgotten and your spirit and encouraging words will continue to motivate all those who got to hear them. We will always love you Poppa.
