James "Jimmy" Ralph Dunn, Jr. of Acworth, Georgia went to be with our heavenly father on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
Jimmy was a long time business owner in Acworth and Jasper. He owned the family business known as Dunn's IGA in Acworth. He was also the proud owner of Dunn's Citgo or to long time Jasper residents, it was known as the Fina. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #176 in Acworth and a Yaarab Shriner of Kennesaw.
He was a funny and stubborn man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father James Ralph Dunn, Sr. and his loving mother, Alice Dupree Dunn, both of Acworth, Georgia.
Jimmy is survived by his long time significant other, Beverly Hesse of Acworth, Georgia; three daughters,Jamie Loggins (Adam) of Woodstock, Georgia, Heather Hawkins (Timothy) of Billings, Montana, Jessica Dunn of Crestview, Florida. He had seven grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Kaitlyn Dilbeck, Rylee Loggins, Chloe Hawkins, Caraline Hawkins, Wyatt Hawkins, Jaidyn Smith, and Owen Dunn. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Mauldin of Acworth, Georgia; niece, Jade Mauldin of Acworth, Georiga; and nephew Walker Mauldin of New York City, New York.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Memorial Gardens: 4355 Highway 92; Acworth, GA 30102.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
