Huskey, James Luther, 83, of Knoxville moved to his home in heaven on July 29, 2022. He was born to the late Clyde and Beulah Huskey. He was born into the kingdom of heaven when he was 14 years old and has been a member of West Park Baptist Church for 36 years. During his first years there, he enjoyed producing tapes of the services to be distributed to anyone wanting to hear God's word. He graduated from Porter High School and attended the University of Tennessee. James worked at UT and retired after 36 years of employment in the graphic arts department. He enjoyed being a foster parent to many children. His hobbies included woodworking, beekeeping and gardening. However, most of all, he enjoyed being a beekeeper with daughter, Michelle for 18 years and was a member of the Blount County Beekeepers Association. In addition, he was a member of the Smoky Mountain Knife Club. He volunteered helping assemble bibles at Mt. Pisgah Print Shop. After assembly, the bibles would be delivered to all parts of the world. Also, James was involved with the Maryville Farmer's Market as a vendor for many years.
James leaves his wife Shirley, after 60 years of marriage and daughter/son-in-law, Michelle and Kevin Greenway. He also leaves a previous foster child, Chris Costner. James leaves his sisters, Betty Jean (Margie) Davis and Freda K. O'Dell (David); sister-in-law, Mary Lou Stallings; and several aunts, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Beulah Huskey; brother-in-law, Odie Davis; and foster son, Michael Webb.
