James Kendrick "Ken" Hubbard, Jr., 73, of Thomasville, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Archbold Medical Center.
He was born on March 5, 1948, in Atlanta. Ken was the son of the late James Kendrick Hubbard and Allyne Clark Hubbard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, retired from the Georgia Army National Guard after 26 years of military service, and retired as a pilot from Atlantic Southeast Airlines. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Valdosta State University and was a member of Thomasville Lodge #369, F.&A.M. Ken was an avid member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Club. The GWRRA occupied much of his time. Ken and his wife, Cindy, spent many hours traveling roads on their motorcycles with friends and members of the GWRRA. When not involved with the Masonic Lodge and Gold Wing club, Ken spent much of his spare time with his wife, daughter, and granddaughters.
Ken was proceeded in death by his parents and a sister Sharon Hubbard Fetgatter. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Burrier Hubbard of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Jen and Nathane Brown; granddaughters, Lexi Brown and Allison Brown, all of Fort Bragg, NC; and his sister, Elizabeth Hubbard King of Lawrenceville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Reverend Rick McMahan will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
