James C. "Jim" Hrubik, a local Real Estate Appraiser, passed away early November 20, 2021. Born in Akron, December 7, 1947, Jim graduated from Copley High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Akron. After teaching in public and private schools in Ohio, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, Jim went into real estate sales and eventually became a state certified appraiser. Jim was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, which he joined after realizing his need of Jesus to be his Savior. He leaves his wife, Violet; sons Jim Jr. (Stella), Jesse, Mike (Suzi), and Matt (Angie); daughters Michelle (Dave Henico), Maria (Jim Landry), and Rebekah (Hansen Webel); grandchildren Jakob, Ilona, and Jesslyn Webel, James III, Amelia, and Samantha Hrubik, Anthony and Lucas Hrubik, Vera and Ariel Hrubik, and Julianna and Jackson Hrubik; mother, Annie Hrubik; brothers, John (Debbi), Tom (Lynn), and Chuck (Karla) Hrubik; and sister, Sandi (Mark Novkov). Being reunited with his father, Carl Hrubik, in death, he looked forward to seeing his family again in the presence of Jesus. Calling hours will be held at the Billow Funeral Home, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333, on Wednesday November 24, 2021 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Friday November 26, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Copley Township Cemetery.
