James (Jim) Joseph Giordano, 84, died February 23, 2020 at Methodist Hospital with family by his side.
Jim was born on July 10, 1935 in Indianapolis. He lived in Indianapolis, Southern California and moved to Shelby County in 1975 when he married Marlene. They later divorced.
Jim was the father of a large family built by marriage, adoption and birth! His children are: John (Marcia), Tom (Vicky), Jerry (Kim), Larry (Mindy), Tammy, Tina Steel, Mark, Ann, Joe, Jimmy and Caroline. Jim's sister Jean (Fred) George resides in California. Jim loved and cared deeply for all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jim was drafted and served in the US Army where he spent time in Germany. After serving our country, Jim worked at GM mostly as a machine repairman at Allison Transmission in Speedway, where he retired. In retirement, he drove a semi for Carter Express and later loved delivering food for DoorDash.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday February 29th At Flanner Buchanan at 10722 East Washington Street. A service will be held at 1:00 PM officiated by Chaplin Rick Kassel. There will be a military honors graveside service at Washington Park Cemetery following the service. All are invited to an informal gathering at Flanner Buchanan following the service.
