DIBBLE, James A. Sr., 94, of Crystal River, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
James was born in Niles, Michigan to parents Jacob B. Dibble and Alma Pearl (Gall) Dibble on November 28, 1927. James married the love of his life, Phyllis Lee (Moses) Dibble on December 1, 1951 and together they raised five children, James Jr., Terry Lee, Rebecca (Becky), Kevin A., and Bryan E. James served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Navy during World War II, James was a true and proud Veteran, life time member of the American Legion, he was proud of his service to his Country and always remembered the sacrifices that are made to be able to enjoy the freedoms so many fought for and lost their lives defending. James and his wife, Phyllis, raised their children in Michigan, where he worked as heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 1990, after his retirement, James and his wife relocated to Florida. They both thoroughly enjoyed the Florida weather, James was often found outside enjoying the sunshine that Florida has to offer, and boating, swimming, and socializing with their many friends. James is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Lee (Moses) Dibble, his sons, James A. Dibble Jr., and Bryan E. Dibble. He is survived by a large loving family, including 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, Children, and many friends. James passed away peacefully at home in the care of his children, Kevin, and Becky by his side, after a losing four month long courageous battle to a sudden illness. He will be missed by many that had the honor to meet and to know him. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all family and friends that have reached out to offer their condolences during this time, the family wants to remind everyone just how blessed they are to have had him in their lives for so many years. A graveside service will be planned at a later date at the family cemetery in Edwardsburg, Michigan, where he will join his family that has preceded him in his passing.
