James J. "Doc" Boyle, 63, died unexpectedly Saturday January 25, 2020 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
He was born June 25, 1956 in Windsor, VT a son of Richard and Helen (Hillman) Boyle. Jim graduated from Windsor High School class of 1974 and has lived in Windsor all his life. He worked as a CNC machinist at Hypertherm in Lebanon, NH and later for Ruger in Newport, NH before working in the maintenance department at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor until retiring due to disability in 2016.
Doc enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially when it included hunting and fishing. He also loved sports including watching his families sporting events and will be fondly remembered for his ability to tell great stories.
Jim was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Windsor and was also a member of the Windsor Elks and past member of the Coon Club in Windsor.
He is survived by his longtime companion Shari Taft and her daughters Emilee Ashline of Hartland and Amanda Pearsons, her husband Zach and daughter to be, Claire, of Weathersfield; sisters Judith Hunt and husband Tim of Windsor, Donna Greenleaf and husband Pat of Pratt, KS and Becky McAllister and husband Keith of Newport, NH; nieces and nephews Jared and Justin Greenleaf and his wife, Pam, Shawn Hunt and his wife Yve, Heidi McAllister and Katie Lord and her husband Anthony as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 1, from 1-5PM at the American Legion in Windsor, VT.
