Jim was a lifelong resident of the Brainerd Lakes Area, along with his cherished community in Naples, Florida. As Chairman of the Board of Anderson Brothers Construction, the family business founded in 1940 by his father Arthur, and uncle John, Jim devoted his life to leading the family enterprise with passion and commitment. Anderson Brothers was not just a business but an extension of family, where most family members contributed over the years and those who worked there were treated like part of the family. The Anderson Family legacy will live on through the employees and future leaders of Anderson Brothers Construction.
He was blessed to share 55 years with the love of his life, Linnea, building a strong foundation based on love, laughter, and generosity. He cherished his special bonds with his children, grandchildren, great granddaughter, friends, and extended family, always taking pride in their accomplishments. He loved gardening and bringing a smile to others with flowers from his garden and a heartfelt note. He had an eye for design, and everything he built was classy, timeless, and just a little bit over the top.
Jim was the leader, and true patriarch of his family. He reminded us to enjoy our lives, love one another, and give back. He leaves behind a legacy of giving that is truly larger than life. His impact on family, friends, colleagues, and the community was felt deeply, and his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. Jim had an enormous heart and losing him leaves a big hole in our lives.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Crosslake Lutheran Church, at 11am.
