Jadwiga W?do?owska, 91, of Bristol, formerly of New Britain, passed away peacefully and comfortably at home surrounded by the presence and love of her family on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, and was reunited with Eugenuisz W?do?owski, her late husband of 55 years, in time to celebrate Easter. Jadwiga was born in Poland on October. 21, 1930 to the late Kazimiera (?uniewska) and Kajetan W?do?owski. Being a dedicated wife and mother she arrived to the U.S. in 1964 with her family and settled in Stamford. Jadwiga was deeply religious and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and R??e Maryji in New Britain. She enjoyed attending Mass with her family, praying and singing in church which is something she held dear to her heart and carried over from Poland when she sang in the church choir. Family was her life. With her generous and loving heart she extended herself to her family in Poland by helping them to come over to the U.S. to better their way of life; she was always kind and loving and made everyone feel at home. Jadwiga was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who was happiest when surrounded by friends and family; she was so proud of all of them. She loved to socialize, laugh, dance, sing, cook her "most delicious" Polish meals, create priceless memories, have traditions of weekly gatherings and lunches every Sunday after Mass, decorate for the holidays and spend quality time with her family. She loved gardening and had a green thumb; anything she touched would grow. She was the life of the party and will be fondly remembered for: her deep religious faith that she instilled in her children; her heart of gold; her sense of humor; her ability to make everyone laugh; her beautiful and gentle smile; her kindness, love, generosity, positive and fun loving spirit, warm and sincere hugs and kisses that will never be unfelt. Jadwiga is survived and greatly missed by her loving family. She leaves her son, Richard W?do?owski and his wife Katarzyna; her daughter, Barbara Korza and her husband George; her grandchildren, Natalie, Janette and Billy W?do?owski and Iwona Serwinski and her husband Paul and Kevin Korza; and her great-grandchildren, Maja, Tomek and Karolina Serwinski. She also leaves her sisters, Zofia Ramotowska and Teresa Pop?awska and husband Aleksander; her sister-in-law, Jadwiga Wadolowska and several nieces and nephews both here and in Poland. Besides her loving husband, Eugeniusz, she was predeceased by her siblings: Tadeusz W?do?owski, Leokadia W?do?owska, Jadwiga Ferenc and husband Adolf; her brother-in-law, W?adys?aw Ramotowski and her Goddaughter, Halina Gr?cka. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 11 from 5-7 p.m. for a walk through visitation at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt Hill, New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, March 12 at 9:30 a.m. Face coverings are required for all services. Jadzia will be laid to rest privately beside her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. To share a message of sympathy with her family and for live streaming information, visit www.duksa.net.
