Jackie (75) peacefully passed away at Conway Medical Center in Conway S.C., surrounded by friends and family on the evening of June 2, 2022. She was born in Newberry, S.C. on October 14, 1946. Daughter of Walter (Shoe) Pearl Wicker and Mary Evelyn Shealy Wicker.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Whitlatch,of Conway, S.C., brother Fred (Marie) Wicker of Little Mountain S.C. sons Stephen Kesler, of Irmo, S.C., John (Meredith) Kesler of Roebuck, S.C. stepson Robert David (Tammy) Whitlatch of Myerstown, P.A. niece Sherie (Philip) Jordan of Little Mountain, S.C. Also surviving are Grandchildren Libby(Kyle) Eubanks, Chloe Kesler, Will Kesler, Taylor Kesler, Leann Whitlatch, Mckenna Whitlatch and Gabriel Kesler. Also surviving, her constant, faithful sidekick and and furry companion, Buster Brown(BB),
She was predeceased by both parents.
Jackie graduated from Mid-Carolina High School in 1964. She retired from S.L.E.D. She was guided by her faith in God and loved being around people. Jackie enjoyed many years of RV travel with her husband and BB. Although Parkinsons disease evolved over time, there was always a way to explore the country, meeting and befriending many along on the journey. Wildlife was another of her loves, whether it being kissed by an Alpaca in Arizona, viewing whales in Alaska, elk in Maggie Valley, buffalo in Wyoming or an alligator excursion in the Everglades she was in her element.
A memorial service will be held at St Paul's Anglican Church in Conway S.C. on June 18th, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Paul Fuener officiating, The memorial service will be live streamed by accessing stpaulsconway.org (http://stpaulsconway.org/)
Interment will be at St Paul's Lutheran Church cemetery in Pomaria, S.C. on June 19th. 2022 at 1:00P.M. with the Reverend Gary Brandenburg officiating.
