Jackie Moses of Sharpsburg, MD entered into the Lord's Presence and was reunited with her loved ones on October 14, 2021, after battling a brief illness at Meritus Medical Center.
Born on May 19th in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Moses was the daughter of the late Leo Henry Divelbliss and Helen (Munday) Divelbliss. She is survived by her husband: David A. Moses; her daughters: Brenda Allen, Melissa Adelsberger and husband, Kevin; son: Caleb Moses and wife, Andrea, and her precious granddaughters: Kaylee Elizabeth, Addison Rae, and Grace Joslyn. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Divelbliss and wife (Irene), sister-in-law, Carol Divelbliss, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jackie was a graduate of Fort Hill High School. She worked at Montgomery Ward for many years until the doors closed, where she made many lasting friendships. She helped plan annual Montgomery Ward Christmas parties, summer picnics and attended monthly breakfast gatherings throughout the years. She enjoyed shopping for and with her grandbabies, as well as spending time with her family while camping at the beach, shopping, eating out, attending family reunions, and Fort Hill Football games. Jackie enjoyed serving God at church through various ministries including, Children's Church, Nursery, Senior Adult Ministries, and wherever else she could lend a hand. She attended Virginia Avenue Church of God for the last twenty years. She had a servant's heart and generous spirit and enjoyed volunteering and donating to numerous organizations and charities.
Preceding Jackie in death were her parents and her siblings: Junior Divelbliss, Marie Singhass and husband (Allen), Patsy Allen, Gary Divelbliss, and Debbie Stallings. Sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Lepley and husband (Harold), Martha Martin and husband (Ernie), her infant daughter Penelope Moses, and several nephews.
May the footprints that she left behind lead many to believe in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Friends will be received at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, MD, 21795 on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Wednesday at 9:00am. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Virginia Avenue Church of God, 17306 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD with Pastors Caleb Moses and Shawn Bushman officiating. Flowers are welcomed and donations may be made to Virginia Avenue Church of God at www.va-avecog.com
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD.
