Mrs. Jacqueline Green Gresham, age 83, of Rome, GA, passed away Saturday morning, May 1, 2021, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Gresham was born in Rome, GA on October 13, 1937, daughter of the late William and Ruby Freeman Green. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Johnson Gresham, and by her brother, Charles Nathan Green. She was a graduate of Pepperell High School in Lindale. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Battey Machinery here in Rome for a number of years. Mrs. Gresham attended First Baptist Church of Lindale where she was active in the Survivors Sunday School Class and the Senior Adult Choir.
Survivors include her son, Doug Gresham (Melinda), Rome; 2 grandsons, Ben Gresham (Joelynn), Rome, and Josh Gresham (Rebecca), Cartersville; 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt and Avarie Gresham, and Amelia and Audrey Gresham; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 3pm at the graveside in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jim Cook and Minister Steve Rogers will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 12 noon until 2pm.
Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30pm and include: Wayne Lovvorn, Michael Gresham, Rodney Gray, Lee Warren, Charles Hilliard, Kenny Green, and Ron Winslett.
