Jacqueline Grace Eldridge, 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Jackie was born on September 11, 1950 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Jackie, Mom and Dad moved t Florida in 1957 and worked at becoming United States Citizens
She graduated from Terry Parker High School and then attended Jacksonville University where in 1972 she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Affairs.
Between her junior and senior year in college she signed on as an Aide/Intern for Senator Lawton Chiles. After that she stayed in government. Jackie was a local caseworker for Rep. Charles Bennett handling Social Security and Veteran Benefit problems.
In 1973 she began to work for Rep. Mary Littlejohn Singleton as her Administrative Assistant until 1980 when Mrs. Singleton passed.
In 1982 Jackie became Program Specialist for the Florida High Technology and Industry Council to create High Tech Educational Resources and Training Programs.
Jackie's last job was as Recycling Coordinator for the City of Jacksonville. She was instrumental in kicking off the Adopt A Shore Program, along with working with Adopt A Mile Program.
In September of 2001 she contracted Idopathic Thrombocytopenia where it debilitated her and she was unable to work anymore.
Jackie was preceded by her Mother, Helen and Father, Wilfred. She is survived by her Brother, Peter. She was a wonderful sister and touched many lives and will be sorely missed.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at her home at 5445 River Forest Drive on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
