Jacob James McFall, a beloved son, grandson, and friend, passed away on December 17, 2022, in Seattle, Washington. Born on April 27, 2003, in Renton, Washington, Jacob's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends.
Raised by his devoted grandmother, Sonna Swaluk, Jacob shared a profound and unbreakable bond with her. Their relationship was marked by countless cherished moments, whether dining out or riding bikes along Alki Beach in Seattle. Sonna considered Jacob her son, and their inseparable connection was a testament to the deep love they shared.
Jacob was an excellent student, graduating high school with straight A's and honors. His academic achievements were a source of pride for his family and reflected his dedication and intelligence. His commitment to excellence was evident in all his endeavors.
Jacob's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an talented snow skier, enjoyed riding four-wheelers, and had a deep appreciation for drawing, music, movies, hiking, swimming. His uncle affectionately called him a "big fish" because of his love for water, a passion that was evident in his joy whenever he was swimming. His artistic talents were remarkable, and he had a natural gift for cooking, often delighting family and friends with his delicious meals.
Jacob's infectious laughter and unique sense of humor endeared him to everyone he met. From his early years to adulthood, he was deeply thankful for the blessings in his life, and his gratitude was evident to all who knew him. His congregation held him in high regard, appreciating his warmth and kindness.
Jacob is survived by his loving grandmother, ( Donald & Sonna Swaluk). Uncle, (Daniel & Brandy McFall). Cousin, (Reeve McFall). Great grand parents, (Fred & Nina McFall). The family shared a memorable road trip from Seattle to New York, a journey filled with laughter and bonding that they will treasure forever.
Jacob believed in a creator, Jehovah, and found solace in his spiritual beliefs. Despite life's challenges, Jacob held firm to the conviction that Jehovah cares for mankind and is close to the brokenhearted. He lived with the hope of God's promises to restore peace on earth through His kingdom, ruled by Jesus Christ, and looked forward to the resurrection that would take place on earth. His family holds onto the hope of seeing him again in that promised resurrection, as expressed in Psalms 83:18, Psalms 34:18, Daniel 2:44, and John 11:25.
Jacob was many things to all of us: a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Those who truly knew Jacob understood how much better their lives were because of him. The ones who were a part of his life and helped raise him recognized what a blessing he was and how special he was. He will always be on our minds and will never be forgotten by those who loved him. We keep him alive in our hearts until Jehovah God lets us feel his warm embrace in His promised paradise. -Revelation 21:4
