Jacklyn J'nean Bonner, 86, of Centennial, Colorado passed away on December 5, 2022.
J'nean was born on April 8, 1936 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, the daughter of David Forest Hawthorne, and Jacklyn Lucille Anderson.
She married Richard Lee Bonner on December 28, 1955 in Centralia, Illinois.
J'nean is survived by her husband Richard Bonner; one sister, Skipper Flippin of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sons, Steven Bonner (Gail) of Conifer, Colorado, Richard Bonner (Becky) of Centennial, Colorado, Thomas Bonner (Marjorie) of Richmond, Texas; one daughter, Carole Bretz of Centennial, Colorado; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as a niece and nephews.
J'nean is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barb Schraeder, and Carole Noto; and brother, David Hawthorne.
J'nean was a dedicated Christian and an active member of Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado as well as a member of the choir.
J'nean was an active tennis player, bicycle rider and jogger, even to the age of 80. She ran in and completed the Bolder Boulder 10K marathon on her 80th year, which is quite an accomplishment.
J'nean enjoyed traveling, seeing new destinations and immersing herself in other cultures. Of all the many things that J'nean has seen and done in her life, her greatest enjoyment was being with friends and family. Her zest for life and very positive attitude is an inspiration to us all.
A Celebration of Life will be held in J'nean's memory, and she will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
In J'nean's memory, we ask that you take in what nature has to offer, enjoy life's beauty, feed the good, and certainly spend time with those you love to appreciate each minute of our precious lives.
Services for Jacklyn will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial CO at 9:00am. A Graveside Service will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 11:30am where she will be laid to rest.
