Jackie Marie Fitzpatrick died peacefully in her sleep on September 30, 2020, one month before her 96th birthday. She was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and raised her family here. To say she was an amazing mother and grandmother would be an understatement. She was always there when her family and friends needed her. She was an excellent seamstress and often sewed for her friends. She was a great cook and loved to make buttermilk biscuits, fried chicken, and cream gravy. She loved to play cards or dominos at her house every week with her friends and never missed Wheel of Fortune on TV. She loved to go to Louisiana and spend night gambling with Flo Arnold, her best friend. Her favorite activity was going out dancing with her husband, Gerald and listening to him lip sync. She also won trophies playing pool, shuffleboard, and bowling. Jackie is preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Perryman; her mother, Grace Iva (Banks) Burrows; her brother, Ure Collier; and her son-in-law, Paul Lenard.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Fitzpatrick, who took amazing care of her especially during these last difficult months; her two daughters, Paula Brown and Grace Lenard; three grandchildren, Roxanne Green and husband Rip, Tony Brown and wife Lauren, and Casey Flynn and husband Daniel; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob Hooper, Darci Flynn, Daigan Flynn, Michael Brown, Jaxson Brown, and Elizabeth Brown.
She is also survived by her 5 stepchildren, Michael, Dale, David, and Rocky Fitzpatrick and Marlene Lacy.
Her wishes were to be cremated and to have a celebration of her life when all the quarantine issues were resolved. In lieu of flowers, please send your condolences to:
