Jack R Larr went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully on Feb. 15, 2021. He was 78.
Jack was born March 15, 1942 in Manton to Dale and Maxine Larr. He attended Shippy grades 1-7, then graduated from Manton Consolidated School. After graduation, he entered the United States Air Force in 1960 serving five years in radio communications. He was stationed in Guam, Vietnam and the Philippines.
After his honorable discharge, he returned to the states where he started working at Brooks and Perkins until retirement in 2004. Jack was an active member of Rollins Christian Fellowship and Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Live Oak, Fl.
After retirement, he spent his winters in Live Oak. Jack's favorite hobbies included reading his bible, hunting, gardening, fishing, picking berries and mushrooms.
Jack met his wife Delores Hardy and they married July 12, 1968. Jack and Delores have three children.
Jack was preceded in death by his father Dale M Larr; mother Maxine Larr; and brother Dale M Larr Jr.
He is survived by his wife Delores J Larr; sons Scott (Becky) Larr and Ronald (Tonia) Larr; daughter Ramey (Eric) Juers; sisters Gloria (Howard) Taylor and Ruth (Dave) Briggs; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Per Jack's request, cremation has taken place and no funeral service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Haven Hospice at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055 or given directly to the family who will forward.
