Jack A. Haugh, age 92, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Born in Marion County, WV, he was a son of the late Tolbert and Esther (Sybert) Haugh. He served honorably in the US Navy on the USS New Mexico in WWII. He attended Fairmont State University and earning a Letter of Distinction as a 3 letter athlete in baseball, football and basketball. He loved golfing and his fishing trips with his family. He was a member of Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church where he was an Ordained Elder.
Surviving him are 4 sons: Jack Haugh (Nora) of Medford, OK, Barry Haugh of Dallas, GA, Michael Haugh (Tracy) of Murrells Inlet, Mark Haugh of Conway; 2 daughters: Linda Sacchetti (Louis) of Murrells Inlet, Judy Groves (Gregory) also of Murrells Inlet; 11 grandchildren: Richie and Lori Haugh, Susan Verdi, Mikie and David Sacchetti, Gregory and John Groves, Chelsea and Patrick Haugh, Taylor and Matthew Haugh; 6 great grandchildren: Anthony and Alex Verdi, Nevaeh and Kyran Sacchetti and Avery and Owen Sacchetti.
In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his wife of 65 1/2 years, Patricia, who he devotedly cared for in her last years. A brother, Bud Haugh also predeceased him.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
