Jack Thomas Gallier, 93, of Vidor, died Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 at his home. He was a longtime resident of Vidor. He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy, and he was a seaman shipfitter on the USS Vicksburg and USS Topeka. After he came back from serving his country he began working as a pipe fitter with the local union #195/211 until he retired. In his free time he loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing at casinos, playing pool, and loved his cats. Services for Jack will begin Sunday, December 27, 2020 with a visitation at 1:00 pm and the funeral service at 3:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a graveside following at Restlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his son Jack D. and his wife Peggy Gallier of Vidor, TX, daughter Carolyn and husband James Faul of Vidor, TX, sisters Betty Wise of Warren, TX and Peggy Doucet of Villeplatte, LA, brother Sammy Gallier of Hemphill, TX, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ronnie Gallier, Fred Gallier, and Eugene "Gene" Gallier and his sister Loyce Hofstetter.
