Jack E. Costello of Gainesville, GA, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, December 14, 2020.
He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and son. Jack was born on March 9, 1944 in LaSalle, IL, to Frank H. and Marion L. Costello. He married Germaine Gregorich on November 13, 1965.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Germaine; two daughters Andria Costello (Trevor) Staniec and Allison Costello (Eric) Cutler. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jackson, Landon, and Ella Cutler, and Maxwell and Catherine Staniec; a brother Mark Costello; a sister Kitty (Mike) Crosby; and many nieces and nephews.
His family, whom he loved and adored, was everything to him. He proudly served in the US Army as an Explosives Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Officer in Vietnam and had a fierce devotion to his Country.
Interment in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, will be at a future date in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to EOD Warrior Foundation or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
