Cardiologist... "An Example of Medicine & Humanity at Its Best" We are saddened to announce the passing of Irvin D. Goldfarb age 75 of South Orange, NJ. Dr. Goldfarb has been a prominent cardiologist at St. Michael's Medical Center for over forty years. His exceptional quality medical care and kindness have been his trademark throughout his long lasting career. He is survived by his wife Angela Goldfarb, his champion and mate of forty plus years, and his children David Schultz, Samantha Cioffi, and Elizabeth Hebert. His grandsons Jake and T J Hebert have been his greatest joy and will have beautiful memories of their times together on long walks and beach vacations. Dr. Goldfarb remains an example of medicine and humanity at its best. He never ceased learning and taught his Fellows proudly. He loved his family, was a loyal friend, and showed kindness to all. He was also known for his addictive humor and sincerity, serving others until the day he could no longer combat his illness. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 26th at 11:00am at the Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel 68 Old Short Hills Rd, Livingston, NJ 07039. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made on his behalf to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Burial will be family only and their wish is to mourn privately foregoing the ritual of Shiva.
