Irmgard Klingel Wright, beloved wife, and mother, passed away on April 23, 2022, at her home in Bozeman, Montana. She left the arms of her husband Ray, after 63 years of steadfast marriage. She is survived by her five children: Michael, Jeffrey, Steven, Christina, and Raymond (III), and their loving spouses. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her family in Germany, Rudi Klingel and Ursula and Wolfgang Bachert.
Irmgard was born in Oberhausen, Germany, in 1935. She grew up facing the struggles of World War II and its aftermath. She met Ray while he was stationed at a U.S. Air Force base in Zweibrucken, Germany. The two fell in love and moved to the U.S., where they started a family. For the next thirty years, Irm dedicated her life to raising her five children.
Irmgard was an anchor, a role model, and a humble provider. She provided a stable home, despite multiple family moves, and no extended family to rely upon. She and Ray worked hard to give all five of their children the opportunity to attend college. She was a great cook and had great intuitive mechanical skill and intelligence. Irm was a private person who loved to work in the yard, adored her pets, and took immaculate care of her home. All who knew Irmgard will miss her dearly as an irreplaceable friend and supporter. Wherever Mom and Dad lived, they always provided an unconditional loving home for their family.
Family and friends celebrated Irmgard's life on April 27th. Special thanks to Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service in Bozeman, MT for their kind and compassionate assistance.
