Irene J. Kolasky, 87, of North Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, February 24th, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Born May 27, 1933 in Czechoslovakia, Irene was the daughter of Paul and Mary (Dovala) Trnavsky.
Irene was a graduate of Jackson Milton. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in North Jackson. Known for delicious kolache rolls, she loved baking, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and participating at many craftshows throughout the region with her husband by her side. A fan of the outdoors, she enjoyed mowing her lawn, feeding the wildlife and riding her golf cart around the lake. Irene was a homemaker, but also held various jobs over the years to include working as a toll booth attendant.
She is survived by her children Debra (Richard) Lewis and Gary (Linda Kolasky) Kolasky; her grandchildren Robert Carfolo, Seann (Shelley) Carfolo, Alex Lewis, Jennifer (Pat) Osborne, and Dylan Kolasky; her great grandchildren Caroline Carfolo, Adeline Carfolo, Jack Carfolo; and her beloved animal companion Tanner, whom always remained by her side.
Besides her parents, is preceded in death by her husband Edward Kolasky, whom she married February 20, 1954, and her son Edward Anthony.
Private graveside services were held and Irene was laid to rest beside her husband at North Jackson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Irene's name to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1110 N. Salem Warren Road, North Jackson, Ohio 44451.
