Irene (Noury) Gordon, 85, of New Britain, wife of the late Robert Gordon, passed away Thursday December 2, 2021 in Portland. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire she has been a New Britain resident since 1940 and attended E.C. Goodwin Technical School. Irene was a member of St. Ann's Church in New Britain.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne Gordon of Plainville;and Kenneth Gordon and his wife Mary Lou of Portland; a daughter, Debbie Gordon and Scott Kochanowsky of Bristol; 2 sisters-in-law, Alice Noury and Carol Noury; 8 grandchildren, Brian, Jessica, Lauren, Katie, Stephanie, Shanell, Jason and Bobby; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Robert, she was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Norman and Paul Noury.
Calling hours will be held Monday (Dec. 6, 2021) 4 to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10 AM DIRECTLY at St. Ann's Church of St. Joachim Parish, 101 North Street, New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
