Irene Mary Rozeske, age 96, of Winsted passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at The Cokato Manor.
She was born on February 19, 1926 in Winsted the daughter of August & Anna (Neumann) Quast.
On June 28, 1949, Irene M. Quast and Leonard F. Rozeske were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four sons.
Leonard and Irene farmed S.W. of Winsted for many years.
Irene and Leonard did a lot of volunteering especially at St. Mary's Nursing Home where they popped popcorn there for the residents.
Irene enjoyed playing cards especially polish poker and Sheepshead, gardening, fishing, dancing and was an avid bowler. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted and St. Anne's Society. She was a lifetime member of The Winsted Legion Auxiliary.
Survived by her children: John (Darla) Rozeske of Eagle Lake and Jim (Lori) Rozeske of Waverly; grandchildren: Robert Rozeske, Mary Beth Rumphol, Thomas Rozeske, Madeline Stellick, Adam Rozeske and Jackson Rozeske; great grandchildren: Amelia and Eleanor Rumphol, Theo Rozeske, Jane Stellick, Mila Rozeske and Hudson Rozeske; siblings: Clarence Quast, Marian Moy, Laurina Zajicek, Jeanette Stock, Rose Lindenberger, Dianne Smith, Lois Gohring and Josephine Hagstrom.
Preceded in death by her husband Leonard Rozeske on October 23,2014, two sons Gary Rozeske and Bob Rozeske, daughter-in-law: Pat (Wroge) Rozeske, her parents, siblings Leander, Joseph, Marcella, Elizabeth, Donna Mae, Caroline, Celina, Paul, Ray and Bernard.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Irene Rozeske will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father John Hayes will be the Celebrant.
Eulogy will be given by Jackson Rozeske. Gift Bearers will be Adam and Candice Rozeske. Intentions will be by Mary Beth Rumphol.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass AT THE CHURCH.
Urn Bearers will be Adam Rozeske and Thomas Rozeske.
