Mrs. Ingeborg Huston Pierce, age 79 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 in Tyler. She was born on August 27, 1942 in Ottobrunn, Germany to the late Anton Josef Schmidtner and Kreszentia Maria Hoess Schmidtner. She emigrated to the United States in 1957 and became a naturalized citizen. She earned a Master's Degree in business management. She traveled to Rome and sang for the Pope as a choir member.
Mrs. Pierce was a professional angler and founding member of The Dallas Bass-n-gals Club. She loved kids, dogs, and the outdoors in equal measure. The world is less bright for her passing.
She was preceded in death by brother, Dietter Hoess and sisters, Helga Feldman and Carol English.
She is survived by her husband, Porter Pierce, son, Bryan Bennett and wife, Barbara; step daughters, Amy Glatz and husband, Karl and Angela Kirby; brother, Rudy Hoess and wife, Lorna; sister, Tilly Lester and husband, Dave and Susan Mayer; brother-in-law, Bill English; sister-in-law, Mary Hoess; two grandchildren, Branden Bennett and Heidi Gray and husband, Travis; great grandchildren, Rowdy and Luke Gray along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
