Howard William Scholfield III, of Caldwell, passed away on November 13th after an extensive fight with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and will truly be missed.
Howard was born March 3, 1956 to Howard II and Beatrice Schofield in Bloomington, Illinois. After graduating high school, Howard began a 17 year service in the Army where he served proudly.
In 1995, Howard met a woman named Ronda and began a wonderful life that lasted 28 years together. They celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on May 23, 2024.
Howard had a lifetime of jobs but the one that became a huge part of his life was working as a production manager in circulation at the Idaho Press Tribune in which he retired after 17 years of service. The only thing he loved more than his family was cat fishing. He sure loved the fight and he definitely fought to the end.
Howard had a big family, which he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Forbush (2000) and his parents. Howard is survived by his 7 living children; Elaine Marie of Kuna, Howard Schofield IV of Caldwell, Richard Schofield of Boise, Alonzo Forbush of Caldwell, Kyle Forbush of Caldwell, Courtney Forbush of Caldwell and Christy Gorman of Kentucky; 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life this spring when it warms up for fishing season as he would want it.
