Howard Donald "Hobby" Halliburton was called home Friday, May 6. 2022, at the age of 88, in Llano, Texas.
He was born in Brownwood, Texas on November 29, 1933, and grew up in Brownwood and Llano, Texas. As a young man he moved to Austin and became a Barber. Hobby moved back to Llano almost 50 years ago as a successful Land Developer and Realtor.
Hobby was well known around town as a good and honorable man who loved people and making them laugh with a joke. His joke repertoire was large, probably from his days as a Barber. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved and cared for him.
Hobby was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Elizabeth Halliburton and father Staton Lee Halliburton, his brothers Walter Halliburton, Leeray Halliburton, his sister Edith Parker, and granddaughter Dana Dale Pomeroy.
He is survived by his wife Sonya Nanette Halliburton, his son Hobby Glenn Halliburton, daughters Cynthia "Cindy" Cerelle Diamantini, Althea LaRae Prehn, M'Lissa Lynette Forster, Rayna Rene'e Halliburton and stepdaughters Loretta May"Lollie" Martin and Molly Hays Winn and stepson James Robert Cooper. He is also survived by his bother Richard Halliburton, his sister Lois Dunlap, 10 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Viewing will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Both events will be held at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano, Texas. There will also be a graveside ceremony following the service at the Llano City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Diamantini, Derek Lindberg, David Grubert, Eric Wells, Colin Wells and Chase Crane. Honorary pallbearer Joseph Diamantini.
