Howard C. "HC" Haase, 95, of Juneau passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.
Howard was born on April 8, 1930 in the town of Lowell, Dodge County, WI and was raised in the town of Clyman. He attended grade school at American Eagle on Eagle Rd. in the town of Clyman and was a 1948 graduate of Juneau High School. HC worked on his parents' farm until he was called to military service where he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1955 and was stationed in California, Alaska, Texas, and the Aleutian Islands.
HC started playing in the Bernie Roberts Polka Band in 1948 until 1956. After military service, he purchased his first milk route in 1955 hauling can milk. In 1958, he purchased his first bulk milk truck and hauled bulk milk until 2011. HC later started playing for the Merlin Brasch Polka Band. They played over 2000 shows and dances traveling all Midwest states until 2011.
HC continued with numerous business endeavors throughout the years. He owned and operated Haase Meats in Juneau from the late 1960s and is still in operation to this date. He purchased his parents farm in the mid 1970s and continues to operate. HC purchased a small dozer in the mid 1960s to provide landscaping services in Dodge and surrounding counties. HC also inseminated cows with ABS for the area.
Howard is survived by his brother Richard (Lorna) Haase of Juneau as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Margaret Haase, Bernice Haase, Mary (Cecil) Sanders, Ralph, Robert, Jerome, Jane (Russ) Selchert, and Janet Haase.
A visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyman on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church with Fr. Howard Haase officiating. Interment will take place at St. Isadore Cemetery, Clyman, WI with military honors to be conducted.
Memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyman or to the Haase Family Scholarship with Dodgeland High School.
