Homer Lee Vorse 95 of Palestine, Texas was born on February 27, 1927 in Shamrock, Texas. He went to his heavenly home on March 5, 2022 in Houston, Texas.
Homer was a veteran serving in the Army during WWII, and worked as a millwright supervisor at Pasadena Phillips refinery until retirement.
He was also a devout member of the Assemblies of God and faithful to his church and missions. He loved the Lord with all his heart and put God and family first.
He was preceded in death by parents, wives: Inez Vorse and Dovie Easter Vorse; sons: Dale and Dennis Vorse; two sisters and several nephews
He is survived by sons: Gary (Sharon) Vorse, Eldon (Linda) Vorse and Sidney (Amber) Cook; daughters-in-law Peggy Vorse and Donna Vorse; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren 5 great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Also, by his special inherited family of Dovie Vorse.
Visitation will be 12:00pm-1pm with funeral services following at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to missions through your local church.
