Mr. Homer Julius Etheredge, Jr. 74, of Cobb, Georgia, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Evergreen Baptist Church, interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Norton and Rev. Jerry Etheredge will officiate.
Mr. Etheredge was born on September 20, 1949 in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Homer Julius "Buck" Etheredge, Sr. and Maxine Shiver Etheredge and was a graduate of the Worth County High School Class of 1967. Mr. Etheredge retired from Proctor & Gamble Paper Products in Albany where he worked as a Business Process Expert. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Etheredge was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Cox Etheredge of Cobb, Georgia; daughter, Ashley Morey (Jeff) of Leesburg; grandchildren, Drew Morey (Nicole) and Derek Morey (Ashley) all of Lee County, Dean Morey (Krissy) of Thomasville, and Kaitlin Morey White (Cole) of Canton, Georgia; great grandchildren, James Morey, Madison Morey, Aiden Morey, Grayson Thompson, Savannah Thompson, and Ryker Thompson; siblings, Brenda Cowart of Lee County and Crissie Norton (Rev. Brian) of Worth County, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Etheredge was preceded in death by his son, Scott Julius Etheredge on March 6, 2017.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the service hour at Evergreen Baptist Church.
