Holly H. Wilson, 83 of Estero, FL passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice after having suffered a stroke. She had been living in the Naples area since 2002.
Holly was born December 13, 1939 in Miami, FL a daughter of the late Shirley D. and Svea E. (Nilsson) Haynsworth of Coral Gables, FL and Palm Beach, FL. After attending college in Virginia, Miss Haynsworth moved to Dallas, and later Chicago, while working as a flight attendant for American Airlines. It was while living in Chicago's Gold Coast that Holly met her soon to be husband of 54 years, Tom Wilson. Tom and Holly spent much of their lives in Lake Forest, IL raising their two children, Brooke and Craig, prior to moving Naples.
Mrs. Wilson was a free spirit with an infectious laugh. She was passionate about art and was very talented at painting, sketching and photography; enjoyed going the beach and to live music events. She also was committed to her various civic endeavors having served in a variety of local organizations including garden clubs and the League of Women Voters. Most important to her was spending time with her beloved family, who will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her daughter, Brooke Grafstrom and her husband, Eric, their son Wilson and daughter Taylor; her son, Craig Wilson and his wife, Lindsay, their son Jack; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews across the country. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas G. "Tom" Wilson; brothers, Roger Haynsworth and John Haynsworth; and sister, Lisa Piper.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held this Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail So., Bonita Springs, FL 34134. Online condolences may be offered by visiting www.ShikanyFuneralHome.com.
