Holiday A. "Holly" Maher

Holiday A. "Holly" Maher, age 75, of Cross Plains, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Dec. 14, 1946, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Jean (Hiegel) Fitzsimmons.

Holly graduated from Assumption High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Patrick Maher, on Sept. 9, 1967. Holly always put her family first, and encouraged her children to follow their dreams. She was a wonderful mother and wife who enjoyed raising her family and caring for the home. She was especially known as a great baker and gardener, and also loved feeding and watching birds in her yard. She loved to decorate for the holidays and she created many fun and unique traditions for her family and friends to enjoy. She had a loving, giving heart, which resulted in her caring for friends and close neighbors.

Holly is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Patrick; sons, Andrew Maher and Phillip Maher; daughter, Katy (Luke) Ptaszynski; grandchildren, Lucas Maher, Ethan Maher and Xander Ptaszynski; brothers, Michael (Maleia) Fitzsimmons, and Kemmer (Diane) Fitzsimmons and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Christy Maher; and her parents.

In keeping with Holly's wishes, no services will be held. Holly and her family would like to thank the entire staff of Agrace in Wisconsin for their loving care and service.
