Hermelinda C. Arce, age 85, of Santa Rosa, Texas passed away on Monday April 4, 2022. She was born April 13,1936, in Sebastian, Texas to Gervacio P. Cano and Micaela Salazar. Hermelinda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and the best wife a husband can have. She was a devout catholic with a strong faith in God, who was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed.
Hermelinda is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jose Cano, Guadalupe Cano (Felipa), Amado Cano, Maria Rita Gonzalez (Jesus), Micaela Longoria(Tomas), Manuela Villarreal (Pilar), Juanita Vuittonet (Alfredo); her brother-in-law Antonio Garcia and her sister-in-law Lucia G. Cano.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her loving husband of 60 years, Rogelio Arce Sr; children, Gloria Arce, Cynthia A. Rodriguez (Zeke) and Rogelio Arce Jr.; 8 grandchildren, Linda Arredondo (John), Francisco Zamarripa III (Delfina), Christina Zamarripa, Christopher Rodriguez (Linda), Amanda R. Percival (Ben), Bethany Rodriguez, Zeke Rodriguez Jr., Zachary Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Anthony Arredondo, Andrew Arredondo, Cara Zamarripa, Carlos Zamarripa, Demarcus Rodriguez, Angelica Hermelinda Rodriguez, CJ Rodriguez, Cade Rodriguez, Caden Rodriguez, Oliver Percival and Declan Percival.; sister Aurora C. Garcia; brothers Victor Cano and Eleuterio Cano (Rosa), sister-in-law Lupita Cano,; niece, who was raised as her sister, Juanita De La Garza; along with many nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 9,2022, at 11:00 am at St Mary's Catholic Church, Interment will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery, Santa Rosa, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandchildren, Francisco Zamarripa III, Zeke Rodriguez Jr. and Zachary Rodriguez; great grandchildren; Anthony Arredondo and Andrew Arredondo. Honorary pallbearers are Francisco Zamarripa Jr. and Amado Cano Jr.
