Herman Lee Green, Jr. 76 of Amarillo died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 in Amarillo.Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm Friday at Llano Cemetery with Wayne Powell, commander of the D.A.V Chapter 26 and Matthew Farley, son in law officiating. Military honors will be by the Volleys for Veterans and the Patriot Guard. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.Mr. Green was born in Shamrock on May 27, 1942. He served in the Army, 1st Cavalry during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the VFW and the DAV. After being honorably discharged, Mr. Green worked as a computer technician at Monroe Business Systems. He also owned and operated H.L. Green Computers and ACE in Dallas, before returning to Amarillo.He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends.He is survived by one son, Michael Green of Amarillo; one daughter, Christina Farley and her husband Matthew of Canyon; one sister, Sue Randall of Amarillo; one brother, Albert Green of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Byron, Heather, Alex, Shevy and Kinley; seven great-grandchildren, Kylie, Keegan, Kiera, Zoey, Kie, Riley and A.J.The family suggests memorial donations to The D.A.V.
