Herbert Wayne Fogleman, son of Lillian Benner and Henry Daniel Fogleman, died peacefully at home in the presence of his wife, Linda Frattaroli Fogleman and daughter Tasha, after a long illness.
He is survived by his son, Raymond and daughters, Kathy and Tonya, as well as by his brother, Lee, sister, Janet, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several cats whom he considered close companions. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters, as well as by his son, Herbert Jr, who died 26 November 2020, and no doubt was the first one to greet him.
Herb was born in Hummelstown, PA and also spent time growing up in Mifflintown. He was a Licensed Practical nurse, a phlebotomist, and retired after 30 years of employment from TRW/ Chromalloy in Harrisburg, PA. He was recognized several times for his generosity in donating blood by the city of Harrisburg.
Herb enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping, fishing, and especially hunting. He was an accomplished deer hunter and was adept with both rifle and bow. Herb wrote poetry, was an avid reader, and loved sharing music with family and friends. An exceptional writer, Herb was especially known for the beautiful, thoughtful, and many times wonderfully humorous poems and stories he would write for the funerals and get-togethers with loved-ones, an activity that meant a great deal to him.
Herb will be missed by all of those he touched during his time with us on Earth and no doubt is continuing to share music, stories, and laughter with all of those who went before him.
The Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
